Patch for Veeam Backup & Replication fails to install with the following error: Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

Error when installing a Veeam Backup update;

Check that the Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) is started

Make sure that World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) is also started.

Open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, locate the VeeamBackup site and start it:
